PRAWN MASALA

INGREDIENTS:


1. Prawn – 500 gm.

2. Onion -- 2 medium-sized chopped.

3. Tomato – 2 medium-sized chopped.

4. Garlic – 2 pods crushed.

5. Coriander powder -- 1 tbsp.

6. Chilli powder -- 1 tbsp.

7. Garam masala -- 1 tsp.

8. Salt to taste.

9. Sombu/Saunf/Fennel – 1 tsp.

10. Oil – 2 tbsp.

11. Coriander leaves– 2 sprig..


METHOD:


Wash and clean the prawns. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add 1 tsp of sombu/saunf. Once it splutters, add chopped onion and fry until golden brown. To this, add crushed garlic and chopped tomato and fry for a minute. To this, add 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp chilli powder, 1 tsp garam masala and fry for 30 seconds until the masalas are well combined. Then, add the washed prawn and salt and saute for 1 min. Now add ½ cup of water and cook covered on low fire until the prawns are well cooked. Now check the salt and add chopped fresh coriander leaves.


Serve hot with roti/naan/pulav/rice.
